100% Volunteer Driven

Volunteers…that is what makes Ozaukee Lacrosse happen…100% of the time.
As a pre-requisite to your child playing within the OZLAX organization, we do require a minimum of 2 hours per family of volunteer time. While you can opt out of the required commitment by ‘paying out’ [see Registration for details] team managers will work around your schedule and your area of volunteer interest.

Anyone who signed up for Volunteer Time requirement [2 hour per family] and doesn’t meet the required volunteer hours will incur a non-participation fee of $100.00.

Volunteer Areas

Team Manager/s
Each team must have at least one designated Team Manager. The responsibility of team manager will be scheduling parent volunteers to work concessions; field prep; scorer’s table and uniform exchange. Will also help to assign secondary help as well to assist with coaches on team emails, get togethers, directions to away games, weekly schedule, etc.

Concessions
OZLAX will offer concession stands at our fields on game days. Volunteers in this area will work concession stand during games in which their player is not participating. Volunteers working the 1st and last games of the day, will be required to either pick-up and set up concession area or break down and drop-off concession supplies to pre-designated area after the last game.

Field Preparation
This volunteer will be at the fields early to place the balls on the end lines, align the goals and place orange marker-cones on the fields where necessary. Volunteers working the 1st and last games of the day, will be required to either pick-up or drop-off field supplies to pre-designated area.

Managing Scorer’s Table
Volunteers will be responsible for running game-clock and keeping game score.  Volunteer will also be needed to keep coaches score book and team statistics. This may also include table/chair set-up and break-down.

Team Uniforms
Responsible for handing out and collection of all team uniforms at the beginning and end of the season.

Fundraising
In need of a highly commited individual to lead a committee of volunteers in order to help brainstorm and plan annual fundraising ideas. Also to begin to secure corporate and local retail sponsors for on-field sponsorships and website sponsorships.
